 Tower Fight Basics

This will teach you most of the basics that I already know of.

======================================================
Countering
======================================================

If your opponent uses range and attempts to attack you, head up to him and build a Siege Tower (If you don't have Siege make with Speed).

If your opponent uses a siege/speed and attempts to attack you, back off a little, build range towers. When any tower near his siege tower is about to die, SELL IT. DO NOT GIVE HIM THE BOUNTY, PLUS YOU SAVE GOLD DOING THIS.

Starting Locations
======================================================

If you often find yourself attacked on two sides, you definately need to read this.

Selecting a spot does not always need to be in a corner. You will need to scout to check all other players locations. After knowing all this, position yourself in a location where you can attack another player, but not be attacked by anyone else.

If another person plans to attack the player you plan to attack, even better.

Harressment
======================================================

This is probably the most important part of the game.

If you do not harress, someone is eventually going to get their ultimate tower and pwn you. Always make sure that noone is currently not being attack at any one time. If no one else is attacking him, GO AND ATTACK HIM.

Teching in corners work only because people do not know how to attack a person who isn't currently attacking you.

Primary Targets
======================================================

I like to call the 3rd Tier tower of any tower type a "Tech Tower", as without these "Tech Towers", he will be unable to get his ultimate tower. Whenever harressing, ALWAYS AIM for TECH TOWERS. Not choosing to attack them especially when they have all 3 is a HUGE mistake.

Of course, if they had defences around it, you should take them out.

Mercenaries
======================================================

This part could potientially be the difference in a game because Mercanaries can walk while towers cannot. Also, Mercanaries cannot be hit by Crabs, Demolishers and other Attack Tower Only Towers. This allows you to "sneak" past the defences to take them down.

Also note that if you're being attacked by Mercanaries, it is wise to build Posion, Frost or any Attack Unit Only Towers if you do not already have a range tower guarding your towers.

Chain Building
======================================================

Certain races, such as Orc, have the ablilty to go directly inside the structure to build it. This is a HUGE advantage especially when trying to run. This will allow you to "chain" one building after another, virtually preventing your builder from harm.

Although this tactic is cost-heavy, it is very useful in the later parts of the game when attempting to siege or run away.

Ultimate Tower
======================================================

Tech Rushing usually doesn't pay off unless you're not being attacked and plan to stay neutral the most part of the game.

Mercanaries can be used to counter 1-2 Ultimate Towers.

Builders can repair Ultimate Towers because THEY ARE STILL BUILDINGS, so make sure you use that.

Lumber
======================================================

For those of you who have never killed another builder before, Lumber is basically another resource that lets you gain more powerful items that are unavalable for purchase with gold.

Lumber Items:

Anhk of Reincarnation
Horn of Clouds (Recommended)
Kelen's Dagger of Escape (Blink Dagger)

I recommend Horn of Clouds because it can really wreck your opponent especially if you are siegeing. The Horn can give a massive advantage in late game Ultimate Tower Fights, especially if the odds are against you.

Gold
======================================================

Gold is basically provided every once in a while. This is the most important resource, so using it wisely will definately change the outcome of the game.

Building 2nd Tier Towers early will harm your income so I don't recommend you do so within the first 3 minutes. And likewise for 3rd Tier Towers, I do not recommend building within the first 5 minutes.

There are exceptions to building higher end towers early and that is when you are rushing.

Killing Towers will provide gold, so sell if you don't need a tower and if it is being attacked or threatened.
